Drone pilot training at the UAS Center at SBD is a highly interactive hands-on experience. You’ll learn to fly safely and effectively in a supportive environment where you can build your skills and your confidence!

Available Courses:

MODULE ONE: PREPARING FOR THE FAA PART 107 Exam

Module One prepares you to take and pass the FAA Part 107 exam to become an FAA-certified drone pilot. The format for this course includes 30-day access to an online learning portal where students receive all the information necessary to pass the exam. The instructor is available for guidance and coaching.

MODULE TWO: HANDS-ON FLIGHT TRAINING

Module Two consists of six 6-hour segments of hands-on flight instruction, providing you the opportunity to gain confidence as a pilot and to build the wide variety of flight skills that you need
for success.

The UAS Center at SBD adheres to ASTM International Standard F3266: Training for Remote Pilot in Command of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and NIST UAS Standard Test Methods.
