Drone pilot training at the UAS Center at SBD is a highly interactive hands-on experience. You’ll learn to fly safely and effectively in a supportive environment where you can build your skills and your confidence!
Part 107 Test Preparation Course – $250
Lecture series in a classroom setting to prepare students to take and pass the FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge test to obtain your UAS Pilot License.
Ground School – $650
Part in classroom, part hands-on, this course provides you with basic flight skills, 8 hours, usually conducted in four 2-hour sessions but can be customized to accommodate your schedule. Once you have completed Ground School you are ready to move on to Flight Line Training.
Flight Line Training – $800
This critical aspect of training consists of 3-hour segments onsite (10-20 hours depending on skill level), providing you the opportunity to gain confidence as a pilot and build the wide variety of flight skills that you need.
